From 9 to 11 March RCMC Project Coordinator Irīna Rudenko is participating in partner institution’s Thomas More annual International Days. This year, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the event is organized online via Wonder platform and its main theme is “Intrapreneurship – Innovate within the organisation”. The term intrapreneurship refers to a system that allows an employee to act like an entrepreneur within a company or other organization. Intrapreneurs are self-motivated, proactive, and action-oriented people who take the initiative to pursue an innovative product or service.
On the opening day the guests learnt about the importance of being 'intrapreneurial' and the role of digital skills in future education.
During the second day, guests and partners of the Nursing department presented their educational institutions and shared experiences in organizing study process online. The second session of the day was dedicated to the topic “Internationalisation of the future, internationalisation anno 2030” in terms of which the participants discussed 5 areas of potential collaboration: physical mobility, virtual mobility, collaborative online learning courses, staff exchange at the next level and internatioalisation@home.
On the last day, the morning session was organized specially for students and partners in the field of nursing & midwifery. International guests presented to the students their institutions and countries, as well as advantages of choosing their institutions for a learning or training mobility in terms of Erasmus+ programme.
During the break students from the Nutrition and Dietetics departments prepared a quiz for the guests to learn more about typical Belgian food, food facts, and healthy eating. At the end of the day, the guests gathered for an informal talk about our experiences, concerns, challenges and solutions we have or had.
These three days were both valuable and informative, and although guests and organizers admitted the lack of physical presence, it was a great experience that will hopefully bring new collaborative projects in the near future.
