International cooperation specialist of RSU Red Cross Medical College Anna Darafeja participated in the festival that was held on Friday 16th in Kalnciema District to celebrate Erasmus+ program 35th anniversary.
Erasmus+ gives a chance to students from all education levels to gain new knowledge and cross-cultural experience, studying or carrying out an internships in an overseas institution.
Since 2009, 158 RSU RCMC students have used the opportunity offered by Erasmus+, and in turn RSU RCMC has hosted 78 students from abroad.
Anna Darafeja, RSU Red Cross Medical College International cooperation specialist:
"Erasmus+ is a unique experience, that gives both students and educators a chance to experience a different environment and look inside oneself to see what qualities one has and what qualities one wishes to develop within themselves. It helps to see your life from a different stand point and re-evaluate your goals.
Erasmus+ helps us to become an educated, developed and mature society, to treat each other with respect, be more understanding towards each other, and gain new inspiration to carry out one's professional responsibilities or participate in studies, which is particularly important for RSU RCMC students and workers. I wish everyone to be daring and visit another country, be open, learn how to adapt, broaden your horizons, change way of thinking and be brave to meet yourself."
Zane Gailīte, director of the Erasmus+ program department of the State Education Development Agency:
"All of us together have seen and experienced how Erasmus+ program has grown and developed over the years, becoming even more inclusive and accessible, opening up opportunities for more and more new participants and giving us more ways of cooperation! The values of the European Union reflected in Erasmus+ program are important to all of us - freedom, respect, democracy, equality and others, so we invite you to celebrate this important anniversary with us!"
