International Days are coming! Take look at the programme and save the dates!
The main theme of the International Days is End of Life Care Education for Health Care Students: Challenges and Opportunities.
On Tuesday, 11 May
International coordinators will present their institutions and countries to the students. By the way, RCMC student self-government is preparing something special for this session!
Later, in the afternoon, academic staff and health care professionals from different countries will meet in an online discussion to talk about the current situation in the field of End-of-Life Care, comparing the situation in Latvia and abroad, as well discuss the place of this topic in health care education.
Wednesday, 12 May participants will have an opportunity to listen to the lectures covering the End-of-Life care topic, presented by experts from different fields.
At 14.00 Latvian-speaking participants will have a unique opportunity to listen to the lecture of the midwife Ieva Pekša-Kontrerasa, who will talk about difficult, but very important topics such as late miscarriage, stillbirth, etc.
Lectures will be organized in parallel sessions.
On Thursday, 13 May all participants are welcome to join the annual international student scientific conference dedicated to F. Nightingale "Research in the Field of Study".
- The event will be held online, from 11 to 13 May.
- The event is open to academic and non-academic staff, and health care students.
- Students will be granted with 2 ECTS.
- Participation is free of charge.
