This week Red Cross Medical College of Rīga Stradiņš University concluded its two very intense International Days 2022.
The event was dedicated to summarizing, analyzing and discussing all the healthcare education experience gained during these years of the pandemic. Students, lecturers and healthcare professionals came together to share their struggles, successes, problem solutions and insights for the future.
11th May was the International Guest Lecture Day. This event featured eight guest lectures speaking about following topics:

Lessons Learned in Health Professions Education During the COVID-19 Pandemic
The day was full of thoughtful insights and lessons; students from the College and other Latvian HEIs, and international guests were able to listen to experts’ opinions and ask questions and participate in short discussions.
The next day 12th May was dedicated to Scientific conference “Research in the Field of Study”. At the event there were speakers from Latvia, Poland and Lithuania, and listeners from other European countries such as Spain. Conducted by college’s moderators Anna Darafeja and Alise Indrāne, 18 theses were presented from different HEIs, including:

A wide range of topics was covered from incorrect sitting postures related to stress and massage techniques to cope with it and other issues, to electrocardiographic changes in pulmonary embolism, game therapy for children with ADHD and many others. The full list of speakers, their works and research supervisors will be shortly published in this year’s thesis book.
