Yesterday, on 24 September 2019, the Senate of Rīga Stradiņš University re-appointed Director of the Red Cross Medical College of RSU Dr.sc. admin. Ināra Upmale.

Ināra Upmale has been the Director of the Red Cross Medical College of RSU since June 2, 2014. In recent years, the Red Cross Medical College of Rīga Stradiņš University has significantly improved its learning environment with new simulators, modern technologies and other equipment, so that students can obtain the most complete insight into their future workplace, as well as gain practical skills while working with patients. The school has its own simulated dentist's office, several patient rooms, nurses' station and a pharmacy, - a lot of work has been done to make the students fully prepared for the labour market. As a result, graduates are not at risk of unemployment - future employers make work arrangements for them already during the training. During these years there has also been built strong and successful international cooperation with more than 20 educational institutions around the world, leading to extensive experience sharing opportunities for college students and lecturers.
