This is the second week of SZŠ a VOŠZ Mladá Boleslav student and lecturer stay in Latvia in terms of the Erasmus+ programme project “Kinaesthetic mobilization in practice - inspiration from Latvian health care”. This week, students and lecturers are visiting a number of rehabilitation centres to observe different techniques and equipment, as well as attending practical lessons at the RCMC.
On Tuesday, the Director of the SZŠ a VOŠZ Mladá Boleslav Lucie Laurýnová and Deputy Director Alena Kamenska payed a visit to the RCMC administration representatives – Director Ināra Upmale and Deputy Directors Sanita Litiņa and Linda Venskus. During the meeting, Project Coordinator Irīna Rudenko told guests about RCMC, while Lukáš Berndt showed a presentation about his school. Later, Irīna Rudenko and Linda Venskus showed the guests the College, including classrooms and labs.
At the same time, Czech students took part in a practical lesson organized by RCMC lecturer Ligija Vucāne and Student Council representative Jānis Freibergs (2nd-year “Treatment” programme student). The students had a chance to practice on manikins such skills as venipuncturing and blood pressure measuring. During the medical simulation the students performed different tasks that included patient transfer with a lift, putting patient on a drip and telephone communication. The practical part was followed by discussions and analysis of the situations.
On Thursday, representatives and students of SZŠ a VOŠZ Mladá Boleslav will return to the College to discuss the results of the project and receive their Erasmus+ certificates.
